Sector of the industry I would like to work in-

Hello there! It’s nice to see you here once again. I would like to thank you for visiting my blog. I will talk about my future here and this is going to be a culmination of who I am as a person and what I want to do going forward from here.

So as you know by now, my background, experiences, my interests, my passion, my aptitude and my skills all match with what I have chosen to go for as my career. In marketing, I would like to go deeper into the consumer behaviour aspects and further equip myself with all the necessary skills and information to get into the product formation and developmental stages of any product and/or service.

In my opinion, the favourite playing ground for a marketing enthusiast must be the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) sector in the industry. It is the most volatile in terms of products and services which are offered, with a large market size, numerous competitors and multiple variants for your products and services.

This is where a true marketer will be able to survive as you need to keep on adapting to the changes that happen in this field. If you are not quirky, reliable, and innovative with your products nobody will bat an eye as there is so much competition that the consumers will simply switch and move on to the next best available deal.

All of this is exactly what I want my job to have. I will be truly happy if my dream comes true soon. I will be working hard to get what I want and I hope things will work out for me. I have come a long way thanks to my friends, family and mentors who have helped me grow and continually evolve as a person to become the best version of myself but this is not the end. I want to keep on growing and ultimately become as good of a human being as I can become.

Once again thanks a lot for reading my posts friends! See you sometime soon!

Domain I would like to work in-

Hi folks! Welcome back. In this post I will be going over my field of interest and why I want to do what I want to do. So basically, before enrolling for an MBA course I had already been fascinated by the way a product or service is marketed. Marketing is everywhere around us, right from the ads that might pop up on your laptop window to the ads and messages you get on your phone or might see outside on the streets.

‘’Marketing is what I will get into if I do an MBA’’ is what I said to myself when I realised the number of similarities between psychology and marketing. Psychology is basically the study of human behaviour, to understand what people the way do they do and why they do it. Marketing on the other hand is understanding the needs of the customers and tapping into their minds to understand why they buy what they buy.

I was dead set on taking marketing as a specialisation. This emotion was further enhanced after I completed my first module of marketing. I realised the vastness of the subject and the limitless possibilities which were there for me to play around with and capitalise on my strengths and discover my true potential by putting it to good use.

Marketing is not just about observing people and giving them what they need. It is all about problem-solving and giving innovative solutions for age-old or modern problems. This is the perfect field for me as it requires a lot of creativity, and you need to be good at formulating and implementing your strategies. It is a match made in heaven for me as it comprises the absolute best mix of creativity and logic. I am keen on exploring more about this further when my major in marketing begins from the next module onwards.

Thanks for reading folks!

Connecting my Past to my Future!

If you guys have read my previous post, ‘who am I’, you know how much of a sports geek I am. I could never sit in one place and try to do menial tasks. I was never good at math, and I hated numbers. Although that did not mean that I was lacking in the logical aspects. Thanks to sports I was good at decision-making and leading people. I always wanted to pursue something which would provide me with satisfaction. I never believed that money is something that you need to be happy. Although it is a necessary unit to have to be truly happy from within, I feel you need to love what you do and do what you love.

That is exactly what I wanted to do that is why I chose the perfect marriage of 2 things that I loved – sports and science- as my graduation course. I feel money comes to those who are good at their work. Money is not that important as compared to personal satisfaction and happiness.

My sports background gives me the confidence to lead and take risky and important decisions whereas my experience with science bolsters my logical and observational skills. I feel I would excel in a management position. I love to interact with people. I am a task and people-oriented person. I could have gone for a coaching or teaching position after my graduation, but I personally do not want a mundane job where you must do repeated tasks and nothing new happens. That I why I chose to do an MBA because I know that being a manager comes with a lot of responsibilities, but it is an adventurous job as you are always on the lookout for industrial changes, you need to be vigilant and always on your toes. Ready to face any kind of hurdles and challenges that might come your way. Always resistant, persevering, and tactical.

I am looking forward to the thrilling but treacherous journey that awaits me as a manager. Although the industry is always volatile, there are phases where you can find a place for yourself and then make your own name in the industry. Personally, speaking I would not enjoy my job if it was not challenging enough, and the risk and rewards were not high. It will test my metal and see how resilient and adaptable I am.

Who am I ?

I am Sai. My full name is Sai Vignesh Rajendran. As you might have guessed already, I am a South Indian. I was born and raised in New Delhi. I did my schooling at B.B.P.S GRH Marg in New Delhi. I was always interested in science, so I decided to go for the medical science stream (PCB) in my 11th and 12th classes.

Throughout my school days, I was heavily involved in extracurricular activities like music, instrumental music, arts and crafts and dramatics. I absolutely love sports and physical activity. I started roller skating at the tender age of 8 years in 2009. I am a national-level (SGFI) inline roller-skating gold medallist.  I am what you would call a jock nerd. My school life in a nutshell has been a huge juggling and balancing act wherein I would always be going back and forth between sports and studies to maintain my fitness and grades. My schedule used to be packed to the brim with no breathing space. My father used to wake me up at 4 am and then we used to go to my skating practice from 5 to 6:30 am. I would then come back get ready for school and leave the house by 7 am. I would return home around 3 pm and then I would go for my tuition from 4 to 8 pm. Then I would do my homework and go to sleep by 10:30-11 pm. That is how strenuous and packed an average day in my life was for 10 years.

I did my graduation in BSc. Sports Sciences from IGIPESS Delhi university. There I was able to find the perfect blend of science and sports; both of which I adored. I always wanted to be engaged in work. I cannot sit in one place and just stick to doing one thing. I am full of energy and want to keep on moving. I love to travel. Travelling enables me to go around visit new places and learn about different cultures. Meeting new people and learning about their experiences which vary so wildly from mine, makes me feel enriched with knowledge. Currently I am pursuing my MBA from BML Munjal University and I am in my first year.

That’s all for my brief introduction folks! Thank you for reading till the end.

Hi!,
I recently completed 100 gold medals. Interesting last three years, since I began roller skating. The C.B.S.E, SGFI, and RSFI all tasted, a few achievements and a few disappointments, but I have a big appetite, like many other skaters. Dad took some of my roller skating pictures during the journey. He has uploaded some of the latest pictures. Check out the cool stuff!

Clear blue skies and the weather was hot. It was first week of May 2009. During one such days, Vasant Kunj Open Skating Competition was held at Vasant Kunj D Block Sports Centre from 8th to 10th May 2009. This was my first ever competition in any sports event in my life, I won One Gold medal (300 meters adjustable), Two Silver medals (300 meters quads and 500 meters quads). I was thrilled so were my coaches and and Parents.

It was special not because i had secured position but also because, that i had managed to win the confidence of my coach. I felt she was not confident of me, since i had started learning skating only in March 2009. I was scared. But Dad helped me by asking me to relax and focus on basics.

Sai Vignesh and Roller Skate

I like Roller Skating and have won many medals at different competitions. I want to excel in this sport. But will not compromise on studies. My favourite subject is Maths and Environmental Science. I love to watch cartoons. Let me take you back to my skating. I am open to learning and experimenting with new technique and steps in skating. I also play Roller skate hockey. I do both Quads and In Line skating. I will soon start learning artistic skating. It is fun to skate round and round in the rink.
